Akshay Tritiya, also known as Akha Teej, is one of the most sacred and spiritually powerful days in the Vedic calendar. Celebrated on the third lunar day of the bright half of the Vaisakha month (April–May), this divine occasion is marked by the spirit of charity, devotion, and new beginnings.
The word "Akshay" means imperishable or eternal, and "Tritiya" means the third day. It is believed that any good deed performed on this day—whether it is donating, serving others, starting a new venture, or spiritual practice—brings everlasting benefits and multiplies manifold.
This day is considered so pure that it is free from the need to search for an auspicious time (muhurat); any activity started today is blessed by divine grace.
*The Deeper Meaning of Akshay Tritiya*
It is the day when Lord Parashurama, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, appeared on Earth.
It marks the beginning of Treta Yuga, the era in which Lord Ram appeared.
It is believed that Mother Ganga descended to Earth on this day, bringing divine blessings to all living beings.
It is also the day when Sudama offered a handful of rice to Lord Krishna and received unlimited wealth and grace in return, highlighting the power of sincere offering, no matter how small

🌸 Sponsor Annadaan: Support free prasadam distribution to needy children and communities in Braj.
🌸 Support Education: Sponsor a child's education through our Project Braj Kishori initiative.
🌸 Contribute to Goshala Care: Help us provide shelter, food, and medical care for abandoned and elderly cows at Sri Krishna-Balram Goshala.Every small act of kindness performed today becomes akshay—eternal—and continues to bless you and your family across lifetimes.
