16 QUALITIES OF LORD SRI RAM

1. गुणवान् (guṇavān

Principled and endowed with supreme qualities. This is His most endearing attribute that leads Him to return to this world time and again.)

2. वीर्यवान् (vīryavān)

3. धर्मज्ञः (dharmajñaḥ)

5. सत्य वाक्यो (satya vākyo)

6. धृढ व्रतः (dhṛḍha vrataḥ)

7. उत्तमचरित्र (uttamācāritra)

9. विद्वान् (vidvān)

10. समर्थः(samarthaḥ)

11. एक प्रिय दर्शनः (eka priya darśanaḥ)

12. आत्मवान् (ātmavān)

13. जित क्रोधो (jita krodho)

14. द्युतिमान् (dyutimān)

16. बिभ्यति देवाः च जात रोषस्य संयुगे (kasya bibhyati devāḥ ca jāta roṣasya saṃyuge)

8) सर्वजनहितकारी (sarvajana-hitakārī)

A benevolent well-wisher of all beings, always striving for the welfare of everyone.

A profound scholar, wise and knowledgeable in all aspects of existence.

Endowed with unparalleled capabilities, able to accomplish what others cannot, as seen in His actions like vanquishing Ravana and inspiring His followers.)

His appearance is eternally pleasing. Even the enemy would be pleased seeing Sri Rama once

One who has control over his desires & senses and has conquered his mind

15. अनसूयकः (anasūyakaḥ)

Conqueror of Anger

Never jealous of another’s knowledge, wealth, progress and power.

Special splendor emanating from His body – The brilliant one

Even demigod’s fear, when He is provoked to war -Varuna and Indra’s son were trembling).
